Self Help Group members of Trichy District thank Ms.J.Jayalalithaa for posting Ms.Jayashree Muralidharan as Trichy District Collector. The women Self Help Group members, under the chairmanship of Ms.T, Vanitha of SEVAI and expressed their appreciation to Ms.Jayalalithaa,Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu for appointing an experienced Civil woman officer as Trichy District Collector. The women Self Help groups’ members had aspirations to have as woman District Collector, now their aspirations had been fulfilled. Then Chief Minister Shri.M.G.Ramachandran appointed   Mrs.Shantha Sheela Nair as District Collector of Trichy in 1981 and after 3 decades Ms.Jayalaithaa, the present CM of Tamilnadu posted Mrs.Jayashree Muralidharan as District Collector of Trichy. Ms.T.Vanitha, Trichy district Women SHG Federation promoter of Villuthuhal said “as DRO of Trichy during 1997-98, Mrs.Jayashree Muralidharan allotted houses sites to Gudalur Village people and also motivated Self Help group members to for the construction of Public Distribution fair price shop. The Women Federation Leader was very hopeful that the SHG movement will get better motivation as District Collector has been a woman as posted by Tamilnadu Chief Minister Ms.J.Jayalalithaa, as elected from Trichy District. Earlier Trichy District Press Club Secretary L.Shawnawazkhan and office bearers greeted Trichy District Collector Smt. Jayashree Muralidharan IAS on his assumption of her office as District Collector, Trichy on the 3^rd, Friday May 2011. Mrs.Jayashree Muralidharan, Joint Secretary, Home Department has been transferred as District Collector of Trichy and on her assuming the offices of the District Collector, the  Trichy District Press club members met Collector Mrs.Jayashree Muralidharan and greeted her for taking over as District Collector of Trichy. She is 139^th District Collector of Trichipallai District since the District was formed.
